  2. Debra, I don’t know if you remember me from South Park High School, but I remember you. From the time I learned of Yael’s illness, I prayed for you and your family and healing for her. Though we take comfort knowing she is in the arms of our Lord, your loss cannot be diminished. I will continue praying for you and that God will comfort you through your grief and bring you quickly back to joy.

I pray that God would hold you close to His heart as you grieve.

Even Yeshua knowing better than anyone the reality of the coming resurrection and the world that is to come. When Yeshua approached the tomb where lazarus laid dead He wept even as he was about to give him life again.

God is weeping with you. We are also weeping with you.

  21. I find this prayer from the Siddur on waking in the morning to be comforting in the short term and the long term:
    My God,
the soul You placed within me is pure.
You created it, You formed it, You breathed it into me, and You guard it while it is within me, and restore it to me in the time to come.
As long as the soul is within me, I will thank You,
Lord my God and God of my ancestors,
Master of all works, Lord of all souls.
Blessed are You, Lord, who restores souls to lifeless bodies.
